Requirements and Responsibilities

Network Control Technician III monitors performance and performs maintenance processes to ensure network systems operate at required levels of speed and reliability. Identifies and troubleshoots network issues and follows procedures to resolve problems. Being a Network Control Technician III documents network issues and configuration changes as soon as they occur. May perform upgrades, preventative maintenance, or equipment installation. Additionally, Network Control Technician III follows standard operating procedures to notify users of outages or changes to network status. May require an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Network Control Technician III work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. To be a Network Control Technician III typically requires 4-7 years of related experience.
