Requirements and Responsibilities
Performs routine blood, urinalysis, and coagulation procedures. May also be expected to study morphology of blood and perform coagulation studies. Identifies unusual results and takes appropriate action to make corrections and solve problems. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or supervisor. Typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.
