Requirements and Responsibilities
Responsible for coordinating and supervising a group of lawyers. Participates in the most complex legal actions. Oversees all law office operations including case assignment, hiring, supervision and professional development of the law office staff, as well as budgeting. Must be a graduate of an accredited law school and admitted into the state bar. Typically reports to the top legal executive/general counsel. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.
