Requirements and Responsibilities
Constructs, maintains, and inspects transmission and distribution of electrical or power lines. Ensures that the circuits are effective and safe for customer use. Removes power lines that are damaged. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent in the field or in a related area. May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervise or manager. Typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. May be entry level if some experience in the skill Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Works under moderate supervision.
