Requirements and Responsibilities

Financial Reporting Supervisor supervises employees responsible for the preparation and distribution of annual and/or quarterly financial statements for external use. Ensures that all documentation complies with company regulations, professional standards, and SEC and GAAP reporting guidelines. Being a Financial Reporting Supervisor may serve as a liaison with external auditors. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Financial Reporting Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Financial Reporting Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. To be a Financial Reporting Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.
