Being a Drilling Engineer V recommends alterations to development and design to improve safety, costs, and efficiency. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Drilling Engineer V demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. May report to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Drilling Engineer V typically requires 10+ years of related experience. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. Works autonomously.
