Requirements and Responsibilities

Clinic Manager III administers the daily operations of a medical clinic staffed by more than 50 physicians providing multiple specialties and services. Prepares and monitors budgets, purchases equipment and supplies, oversees maintenance of the facility. Being a Clinic Manager III is responsible for hiring and training office and nursing support staff. Establishes and oversees billing practices. Additionally, Clinic Manager III may be responsible for contracts or negotiations with insurance providers. This is an administrative non-physician role. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Clinic Manager III manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Clinic Manager III typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.
