Requirements and Responsibilities
Responsible for the long-range direction of an organization's technology function. Directs the strategic design, acquisition, management, and implementation of an enterprise-wide technology infrastructure. Monitors and analyzes technology and trends that could improve the company's products and performance. Establishes technology standards and communicates technical information to the organization. Typically requires an advanced degree of Computer Science or Engineering. Typically reports to Chief Information Officer or Chief Executive Officer. Top level or C level management. Responsible for the development of functional or business unit strategy for the entire organization. Defines corporate vision and strategy establishes company direction and focus. Executes multiple high impact initiatives to achieve overall corporate goals.
