Requirements and Responsibilities
Performs wide variety of photographic functions in a medical setting. Takes photographs and prepares images, slides, or prints of subjects used for archives, educational materials, legal proceedings, and scientific literature. Photographs patients, operating room procedures, autopsy and laboratory specimens and other medical subjects. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. May require a technical certification. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Typically requires 3-5 years of related experience.
