Aircraft Maintenance Manager I

Requirements and Responsibilities
Manages the service, repair, and overall maintenance of aircraft and aircraft engines to verify craft are safe for flight and compliant with FAA regulations. Oversees the scheduling and timely completion of repairs and maintenance ensuring budget adherence. Acts as advisor to aircraft maintenance team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a unit/department head. Requires a FAA aircraft and engine mechanic license. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes.
